José Ignacio is an international lawyer specialized in investment funds formation work, advising international clients on matters relating to the structuring, setting up, and organization of funds (whether regulated or nonregulated).  This includes contracts, company law, financial matters and operating arrangements, with a specific focus on private equity funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, and any other type of alternative asset’s funds, as well as related acquisition structures.

José Ignacio is deeply involved in the corporate and transactional aspects relating to such funds and the structures set up for acquisition and financing purposes. He also advises on compliance and regulatory issues relating to investment funds. He has been practising as an international lawyer for more than 20 years in major Anglo-Saxon law firms in jurisdictions such as Madrid, Paris, London and Luxembourg. José Ignacio is a member of the Madrid Bar and Luxembourg Bar. He has a Postgraduate degree (Mastère Spécialisé) in international business law and management from HEC Paris, one of the world´s best business schools and a Master´s degree in foreign affairs from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid) in partnership with the Spanish School of Diplomacy.
